Late last week, the FCC released the text of a proposed rulemaking that seeks to establish the first set of wide-ranging and comprehensive privacy regulations applicable to the Communications and, specifically, Broadband industries since the adoption of CPNI regulations, following the 1996 Telecom Act. The NPRM solicits industry and stakeholder comments on a proposed framework for ensuring that consumers have the tools they need to make informed choices about how their data is used and when it is shared by their broadband providers.
Over the course of this upcoming week, The CommLaw Group’s Privacy Law Attorneys will be reviewing, analyzing and summarizing the 150 page Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (“NPRM”) on behalf of clients and other interested parties. On completion, a copy of the Summary Analysis will be available, upon request, for an affordable fixed fee rate.
If you are interested in receiving a copy of our firm’s Summary Analysis or wish to file Comments on the NPRM, please contact your assigned Attorney or Jonathan S. Marashlian at jsm@commlawgroup.com.
