Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

The Commpliance Group provides nationwide regulatory reporting support to meet all federal and state regulatory reporting obligations. The Federal Communications Commission ("FCC"), state utility commissions and other state agencies require regulated telecommunications companies to file a vast number and variety of reports. Many of these reports are required annually, semi-annually and even monthly. Failure to pay attention to these reporting requirements can lead to fines, forced customer refunds and even revocation of your operating authority. Whether you need someone to prepare and file all your reports or simply need information to stay abreast of reporting requirements, The Commpliance Group will help your company remain in compliance with these complex and often burdensome requirements.

The following services are offered by The Commpliance Group on a case-by-case basis or through our subscription-based Compliance and Reporting Service (“C&R Service”):

FCC Compliance & Reporting -- All scheduled monthly, quarterly, and annual reports mandated by the Federal Communications Commission for interstate telecommunications services and interconnected VoIP providers, including FCC Form 499-A, 499-Q, international traffic reports, and more.
State Compliance & Reporting -- All scheduled monthly, quarterly, and annual reports mandated by state Public Utility Commissions for regulated local exchange, long distance, prepaid and other in-state service providers. Examples of regulatory reports included in the C&R Service are: annual reports, revenue reports, access line reports, slamming complaint reports, regulatory fee filings, state telecommunications relay service funds and state universal service fund reports.
Secretary of State Reporting -- All annual reports mandated by the Secretaries of States for purposes of maintaining corporate qualification to conduct business in each affected state.
Tariff Preparation & Maintenance Service – While tariffs are not longer required by the FCC, some states still require tariffs for local exchange services. These tariffs have specific tariffing format and content requirements. The Commpliance Group not only will prepare all required tariffs, but we also offer a tariff maintenance service under which we will manage and implement any necessary revisions.
Complaint Response Service — Research and prepare responses to consumer complaints filed with regulatory agencies, such as the FCC, state PUCs, Attorneys General, and Better Business Bureaus.
Compliance Audits -- Our firm also offers compliance audits. We analyze client operations to determine potential compliance deficiencies and weaknesses. Through a compliance audit, we can develop a targeted compliance plan to ensure that our clients’ operations remain in full regulatory compliance.

Sales, Use & Transaction Tax Compliance Services – State and local tax compliance reports expertly prepared by highly-experienced tax professionals. Prepared reports are filed with the appropriate state tax or revenue reporting agency.
Traffic Studies - Assist clients with traffic studies that can reduce USF and other FCC program liabilities substantially.
